How Do I Upload Files for Use or Rendering?
OASIS provides a variety of methods to upload files for use at a website or on a web page. Some methods are built in through WYSIWYG editors (e.g., inserting image in Text resource instances, see above).
There are two methods that use the OASIS Explorer:
- Uploading a single file to the OASIS file system;
- Uploading multiple files at one time to the OASIS file system
Uploading a Single File to the OASIS File System:
- Begin by navigating to the web page with which the file will be associated
- Click Add on the OASIS Toolbar
- Select the File option from the Add pull-down menu.
- Access the file on your local drive by clicking on the Browse button next to the File field about mid-way down the form.
- Navigate on your system until you find and select the file, and complete that file selection dialog box by clicking Open.
- Complete the form as desired (bearing in mind that several available fields support accessibility compliance, so they should be completed)
- Click Save to upload the file.
To verify the upload, use the OASIS Explorer to navigate to the folder where the file was to be uploaded.
Uploading Multiple Files at One Time to the OASIS File System:
- Begin by navigating to the web page with which the file will be associated.
- Click Add on the OASIS Toolbar
- Select the Multiple Files option from the Add pull-down menu.
- Once selected, a dialog box to support multiple file upload will appear.
- Confirm the folder into which the files will be uploaded using the OASIS Explorer interface provided in the dialog box (upper left).
- Drag and drop the files from your desktop onto the drop zone (shown as a square with dashed lines around it).
- When the process is completed, the progress bar will display that status; click the Close button to complete the process.
